Mark Wahlberg has put Los Angeles, Hollywood, and California in his rear-view mirror and has no intention of coming back.

He moved his entire family to Las Vegas, and he plans on bringing filmmaking to the desert and turning Vegas into Hollywood 2.0.

The actor put his mammoth estate in Beverly Hills on the market and has already snapped up a couple of pieces of property in Nevada.  He has a 2.5-acre plot of land he will build out and a bungalow with a $14.5 million price tag that he will move his family into as the new place gets built.

There’s an exodus of celebrities either talking about bailing on California or doing it, and it will undoubtedly get much worse if mega-woke progressive Karen Bass becomes mayor of Los Angeles, which it looks like she will. Billionaire developer Rick Caruso has vowed to end homelessness and “keep Hollywood in Hollywood,” but the forces are aligning to ensure he does not win in November.

Las Vegas has taken off in recent years. The Oakland Raiders have relocated there, an NHL expansion team was formed several years ago, and the city could be looking at an MLB and NBA team there if LeBron James gets his way. He’s vowed to own a team in Vegas and publicly spoke about it last week.

The Wahlberg clan, including Mark, his wife Rhea Durham, and their four children, appear to be loving life in a more tax-friendly environment.

Here’s what he told The Talk this week.

“So we came here to just give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s lots of opportunity here, so I’m really excited about the future.”

Marky Mark is a force of nature. He plans to bring jobs, opportunities, and a lot of his friends from Hollywood to Vegas with him as he builds “Hollywood 2.0.”
