Is this just another marketing ploy?

“Natural” deodorant has been receiving a lot of hype these last few years, marketing itself as the healthier and more eco-friendly choice when it comes to deodorant. Celebrities love them and even swear by them but it seems like anybody you talk to will tell you that they never work!

Unless you’re somebody who barely sweats, I have yet to come across a natural deodorant that gets me through the day or even a few hours!

Is this just another case of “green-washing” or marketing tactics used by companies to bring in more sales and cater to the health and wellness community?

Extensive research points to YES.

Health experts say that this is just another case of marketing ploys used by companies to market their products as “better” or “safer” to consumers. None of their claims are backed up by significant and substantial scientific evidence. The New York Times interviewed many different health experts including dermatologists, epidemiologists, oncologists, and skin microbiome experts who all agreed that regular deodorants are perfectly safe.

So save your money and frustration from buying natural deodorants and stick with the regular ones that actually work and are just as safe!
