There’s only one way of knowing when it’s time to really prepare for the holidays. The Queen of Christmas must give the signal. If you missed it, Mariah Carey closed out Halloween and said hello to November while singing her popular holiday carol on twitter.

Now that Queen has spoken, you can check off your gift list. The shopping week of the year is near so we’re putting together everything you need to know about Black Friday 2022. Honestly, if you’re just now googling holiday deals you’re behind. Several major retailers are already offering deals.  Best Buy deals change weekly and lead up to Black Friday. You can expect major savings on laptops, smartphones, tablets and home appliances.

Target is following a similar approach to deals. A list of deals is offered weekly. A new deal of the day is also chosen daily. Walmart and Amazon are also cranking out deals.

Another issue you may encounter during the infamous Black Friday is when to go to physical locations. In years’ past, retailers have opened on Thanksgiving Day. This year, companies are thinking of their employees. Some retailers will not be open. Here’s a few I can confirm will be closed. Macy’s, Nordstrom, Best Buy, Costco, Walmart, and Target will not be open on Thanksgiving Day.

Now you know where to shop and when to shop. The next thing to do is prepare to snatch and grab, not literally. USA Today gave out this advice about prepping for sales. Before virtual checkout make sure your shipping and payment information is up to date with each retailer. Be aware of all cash back deals on your credit and debit cards. Sign up for memberships like Amazon Prime and some advice from shopper to shopper, do not get addicted to swiping the shiny plastic.
