Fans of Andrew Tate had waited months for his release from a Romanian jail, and it finally happened on Friday, as he and his brother Tristan, and two others will now be under house arrest. The next thing people were curious about was what the Tate brothers would say about their situation — and considering they were held for three months over human trafficking and rape allegations, they have not been formally charged with a crime; they have to have a lot they want to get out.

Andrew Tate was succinct, respectful, and measured in his first public comments.

“I’m a little bit emotional.  I’ve been in one room since last year, so it’s a little bit emotional. I wanna give respect to the judges who heard us today because they were very attentive and they listened to us. I have no resentment in my heart for the country of Romania or anybody else. I just believe in the truth. I believe in God and that the fire of truth will eventually burn the lies.”

Those are impressive comments for someone who feels he’s been unjustly locked up since a few days after Christmas. Tate expressed his innocence and said he had faith that the court would find him innocent.

As for his plans – he has a fitness goal he wants to hit. “When I was in jail, I did 7,417 pushups. I want to get to 10,000 before the end of the week.”

He gave his emotional address in front of a supportive crowd of cheering fans, who shoulder “Top G.”
