How “compassionate” can NYC get?

You know the Big Apple is the city of convenience, but this is getting ridiculous.

The NY Post reports that there is now a drug paraphernalia vending machine in the city.

The principle focus of the vending machine to provide Narcan, which is a life saving nasal spray that can prevent death after a drug overdose.

A noble cause, for sure, but let’s take a look at all the unnecessary add-ons.

Also located in the vending machine are crack pipes, apparently designed for “safe smoking.”

And there are also “safe snorting” kits, allowing users to sniff their crystal meth safely.

The health commissioner said, “We have a rising tide of fentanyl, and now we have other substances entering our drug supply, which is really putting us behind the eight ball.”

He brought up Xyzalin,e a tranquilizer known to eat human flesh, that has been making the rounds among drug users.

The health commissioner said future vending machines might even include syringes.

He continued, “It’s not the be-all and end-all solution, but it’s an important tool that says to New Yorkers, ‘Hey, we are going to bring the tools that saves lives to you.”

NYC won’t be the first however to come out with these machines. Such things already exist in Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Denmark and Australia.

The commissioner says he hopes to install many more, coming in at $11,000 a machine.

Taxpayer dollars to encourage drug use. Makes sense.
