If you didn’t think there was enough bad news bombarding our social media feeds and alerts from media outlets we subscribe to, how’s this for a horrible warning/prediction? A Four-star Air Force General named Mike Minihan believes we will be at war with China in less than two years.
He sent a memo to the 50,000 service members under his command clearly stating that he saw this conflict on the horizon.
NBC News got their hands on a copy of the memo, and it’s his belief that the upcoming 2024 election will be such a distraction in the United States that it would provide the cover China needs to invade Taiwan.
“I hope I am wrong. My gut tells me we will fight in 2025. Xi secured his third term and set his war council in October 2022. Taiwan’s presidential elections are in 2024 and will offer Xi a reason. United States presidential elections are in 2024 and will offer Xi a distracted America. Xi’s team, reason, and opportunity are all aligned for 2025.”
Minihan urges his airmen to be proactive to be strong and ready to defeat China inside the first island chain, where he believes the battle will take place.
His instructions in the memo were pretty detailed and specific, and here’s one thing they should be doing in the coming months.
“Fire a clip into a 7-meter target with the full understanding that unrepentant lethality matters most. Aim for the head.”
He also told them that in March, they should be sure to have their affairs in order in case of deployment.
