Bill Cosby is again making headlines; this time, it’s not for the latest update of a court hearing after allegations of sexually assaulting women. The 85-year-old comedian announced Wednesday he plans to tour in 2023. According to Variety, Bill Cosby answered “Yes.” on the radio show “WGH Talk” when asked if 2023 was the year he might tour again.

Bill Cosby was convicted of a criminal sexual assault charge in April 2018. After spending nearly three years in a Pennsylvania prison, the comedian was released when the state Supreme Court overturned the conviction. During his radio interview, Cosby stated, “There’s so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do. Years ago, maybe ten years ago, I found it was better to say it after I write it.” A representative for Cosby has also stated Cosby is looking to return to the stage during the spring or summer of 2023. The comeback tour is not definite yet, though. Another sexual assault lawsuit has now been filed against Cosby in New York under a new state law that temporarily bans the statute of limitation for sexual assault claims. The suit is filed by five women who say Cosby raped or forced them into sexual acts. Cosby’s lawyers are calling the accusations “frivolous.” Cosby is likely waiting until the matter is resolved before going back onstage.

What kind of material does Bill Cosby plan to use on stage? Will he talk about his time in prison, the accusations against him, or life after lockup? Whether guilty or not, that’s what people want to hear about. It’s likely the only way for him to sell tickets after such a hectic few years that have damaged his reputation.
