1. Make a to-do list.

A to-do list will help you stay focused, on track, and motivated to get things done.

Plan the night before. Keep a daily, weekly, monthly, and even yearly checklist of things you wish to accomplish and achieve. This will also keep you motivated and focused.

2. Meal Prep

Cooking is so time-consuming. We need good, REAL, food to think straight and stay healthy. Our mental health is entirely affected by the foods we consume. Stick to real, whole foods. Shop organic when you can. Avoid processed foods and vegetable oils at all costs.

Meal prepping will save you time during the week when you come home from work and are exhausted and have other things that have to get done.

3. Limit Distractions

Our phones, technology, and social media can be extremely distracting, especially when we have work to do.

4. Reduce your commute time

The average US commute time is 55 minutes a day commuting to and from work, but in many parts of the country, things are even worse.

Since 1980, the average American’s commute time has increased by 27% (From 21.7 minutes to 27.6 minutes). The average American commutes 41 miles a day to and from work. 76.4% of U.S. workers drive alone to work.

If you can, try and live as close to your job as possible. It will save you so much time and gas money, especially nowadays…

5. Wake up early

We lose so much time from sleeping in. As tempting as it is, waking up late can create a vicious cycle and screw up our circadian rhythms.

Having a regular sleep schedule is so important for our mental, physical, and emotional health. It’s important to have a routine and stick with it.

6. Focus on today. Don’t stress about the future.

Sometimes, we can get very overwhelmed by our tasks. Focus on today, not tomorrow. Break down your workload and achieve things one by one. They will seem more simple and more achievable.

7. Write down your weaknesses and struggles.

When you have a chance, take a moment to write down where you feel you are struggling.

Write down why it bothers you, what you might think could be causing the problem and ways you can address and fix the problem.

Once you figure out the things that are hindering your progress and success, you can eliminate them and improvise.

8. Track your expenses.

What does money have to do with maximizing your time? – EVERYTHING.

Money is always involved.

Money can help get the job done faster, usually. If you’re spending too much in the wrong places, you might be preventing your own success and dreams from coming true.

9. Collaborate.

When we work with the right people, we learn and can achieve our goals faster (sometimes).

Teamwork is key. Unity is key. Collaboration is very powerful.

An army of one is less likely to succeed…

10. Stop focusing on things that don’t matter!

Don’t worry about what others are doing. Focus on yourself.

Anxiety can also be a major hindrance to your success. We all struggle with our own mental health hardships. After all, we are only human.

Meditate, do yoga, talk to friends, and say thank you to God for all He has blessed us with.

The mind is more powerful than the body.

Whatever we focus on, grows. If we focus on the things that truly matter, we will come to realize that we are more blessed than we remembered. Nobody is perfect and we all have areas that we’d like to improve, but if we remember our blessings and the power we have within ourselves to become everything we dream of, things will seem less stressful and more simple to achieve.

Humans have a tendency to over-complicate things that are very simple.

Simplify your life and count your blessings. Express gratitude and remain faithful.

You can achieve anything you put your mind to.

Never give up!
