After two years of wearing masks, most Americans are beyond sick of it, especially a group of airline pilots who have filed a lawsuit against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in an attempt to get rid of the mask mandate for federal transportation.

A total of 10 pilots who fly for American, JetBlue, and Southwest is doing what many Americans wish they could have done; sue the CDC.  They argue that the CDC issued an order “Requirement for Persons to Wear Masks While on Conveyances & at Transportation Hubs” on Feb. 1, 2020 “without providing public notice or soliciting comment.”

These pilots want the court to eliminate the mandate because they believe it is unconstitutional and illegal.  They also think not only common sense but science is on their side, claiming there are “countless scientific and medical studies and articles showing that face masks are totally ineffective.”

Thanks to the mandate, these pilots claim they have seen chaos on their planes in the sky. Of the 889 reports of unruly passengers, the FAA says 587 of those involved masks. Last year there were almost 6,000 unruly cases, and 4,300 of them were because of masks.
