There was a popular episode of “Seinfeld” called “Opposite” that first aired on May 19, 1994.

In it, George would do the opposite of what his natural instincts would usually tell him, leading

him to unprecedented success in his personal and professional life.

The sequel could be filmed in 2020 and it would star California Gov. Gavin Newsom and

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, two state leaders who could not be more different.

In California, Newsom has become reviled for his over-extending orders. California students have not been in classrooms since March, with no end in sight to the “distance learning.”

Newsom issued a new curfew for most of the state, and is in favor of the complete closing of all Los Angeles County restaurants, banning them from having even socially distanced outdoor dining, almost ensuring a large percentage of businesses to be lost.

Newsom also is involved in a bitter fight with Disney, stubbornly refusing to allow the safe opening of Disneyland and other theme parks throughout Southern California.

There is currently a recall effort going on in the state of California.

DeSantis, on the other hand, has allowed DisneyWorld to be open since July, with no major issues being reported. He has taken a very hard stance against rioters and looters, endorsing new legislation to enforce stricter punishment.

DeSantis has also pushed through a measure that bans local Florida cities from enforcing mask mandates in the state, signaling their move into “phase 3” of the pandemic, which means restaurants, bars and salons can open at full capacity. The new bill also prevents local governments from ordering restaurants to close without public health or economic data to justify the move.

The Florida economy is thriving. Thousands of residents are fleeing California.

“The Opposites,” starring Newsom and DeSantis. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, you have the makings of a great new show.
