If you haven’t heard, Dennis Rodman has yet to secure the release of WNBA player Brittney Griner. He claimed he was not only willing and capable of doing it but seemingly had the blessing of the U.S. Government to go to Russia and try it.  She is still sitting in a Russian jail cell after her guilty plea to drug charges.

Meanwhile, here in the U.S., Rodman’s daughter Trinity is making headlines of her own for some great things she is doing.  The 19-year-old soccer star just signed a four-year contract with the Washington Spirits.  The deal is worth $1.1 million, and her $280K salary per year will make her the highest-paid player in the National Women’s Soccer League.

Not bad, considering she made just $42,000 her first season after becoming the youngest person to be drafted.

She earned that pay raise, starting 22 of 25 games last year, and being named Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year.

Get ready to see a whole lot more of Rodman’s daughter.  Her star is rising on the US Women’s National Team, and she will almost certainly be an Olympian in 2024 and 2028.

Here’s what her USWNT coach Lvatko Andonovski said about her.

“She was one of the most exciting players in the league this past season, and she proved that she can be impactful at the professional level in NWSL.”

She has an incredibly bright future in front of her.  Just like her father, she’s extremely talented; unlike her father, she’s yet to dominate gossip columns with enough crazy antics that earned him the nickname “The Worm.”
