The NFL is facing a bit of an early season problem.  They have very strict COVID protocols in place for all 32 teams. They have been pushing for 100% vaccination rate, and they will come very close, with the Atlanta Falcons already there.

But their plan is based on the fact that vaccinated players, coaches and staff would be immune to contracting COVID after being. Vaccinated, and that is just not reality.

Which they are finding out.

Over the weekend, Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel tested positive for COVID. So, he has to have back to back negative tests in the span of 48 hours, or he is going to have to quarantine for 10 days.

Making things more sticky is the fact the Titans played a game this past weekend against the Tampa Bay Bucs.  Vrabel was a long-time teammate of Tampa qb Tom Brady when they played together for the Patriots, and the two men spent a lot of time face to face talking at the game, and during the week when the two teams practiced together.

At the time, Brady had no clue Vrabel was positive.

Here’s what reporter Jenna Laine of ESPN tweeted about Brady and Vrable talking.

“Mike Vrabel spent quite a bit of time chatting with Bucs quarterback Tom Brady and his son Jack during joint practices (last) week. This is from @GeorgeWalkerIV of @Tennessean. Vrabel just announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be quarantining.”

Vrabel is scheduled to be tested again today. It wouldn’t be shocking if Tom Brady was taking a test too.
