Pete Davidson is a hot commodity these days. He turned Kim Kardashian’s guest-hosting gig on Saturday Night Live into a bona fide relationship, which has landed him in the doghouse of Kanye West and triggered quite the Twitter tantrum on Sunday.

Monday, it became official that Davidson will be suiting up for a trip to space on Blue Origin’s next flight on March 23.  A group of six will be on board, including the former CEO of Party America, Marty Allen.

Davidson is called an “honorary guest” on the flight, meaning he didn’t have to pay. This is good because a trip into space is not cheap. Davidson joins fellow celebrities Michael Strahan, William Shatner, and Jeff Bezos himself, who have all taken a journey on Blue Origin.

Davidson is not an astronaut, although he did play one on SNL back in May of last year on the night Elon Musk hosted the how. In that sketch, Davidson played a character named Chad, who went to Mars on a SpaceX mission.

The idea for Davidson joining the next crew was hatched at a dinner between Kim K, Davidson, Bezos, and Lauren Sanches back in January.
