Amber Heard is famous.  She dates, and even marries, very high profile men. Judging by your take of what’s going on in her highly-publicized trial with former hubby Johnny Depp, some people might describe her as being a little strange.

But is she a good actress?  That is open to interpretation, but according to over two million fans of the mega-popular “Aquaman” franchise, no, she is not.

Fans of Aquaman and Johnny Depp have gathered in mass to sign a petition to try to get her out of the Aquaman sequel.  So far, 2+ million people have signed it, and the film producers have apparently noticed.

Heard plays the role of Meta in the billion-dollar franchise, and a lot of comic book fans do not believe she is convincing in the role. Cinema Con is going underway in Las Vegas this week, and there are reports from people who have screened the new movie that her screen time has been cut to roughly 10 minutes in the film. A film critic named Grace Randolph reported that it was a technical decision that keeps her off-screen, but it could also be a trial balloon by producers, who may ultimately cut her out entirely.

The petition is at change.org if you want to check it out. While petitions don’t carry the weight to make changes happen automatically, this is a significant number of signatures, and the studio might take notice.  Warner Bros. Is the Hollywood studio behind the franchise, and they will most likely be glued to their TVs as more wild details come out from the trial.

“Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2,” is what petition organizer Jeanne Larson said on the petition. The goal is 3 million signatures.

Larson said she started the petition because she believes allegations that Heard has been exposed as a domestic abuser.
