Who knew the Pentagon had such a flare for the dramatic? After shooting down a third flying “unidentified object” in our airspace in the past three days, the military’s official announcement of what’s happening is kind of surprising.  The lattes happened Sunday, as Joe Biden gave the ok to take out the U_O. US Air Force General Glen VanHerck was tasked with explaining what’s going on and what these objects are, and he’s keeping all options open.

“I’ll let the intel community and the counterintelligence community figure that out. I haven’t ruled out anything. At this point, we continue to assess every threat or potential threat, unknown, that approaches North America with an attempt to identify it.”

The object shot down on Sunday was described as an “octagonal structure” with strings attached to it that could be used for surveillance. It was soaring 20,000 feet above the great lakes when a US F-16 pilot shot it out of the sky.

If you are wondering if the objects the past three days were Chinese spy balloons like the one shot down on February 11, no, these last three were roughly the same size and flew the same speed.

Ever since the military picked up the spy balloon, they have changed their radar tracking to find slow-moving objects which is part of the reason we’re seeing and shooting down more lately. Are’s more from VanHerck.

“With some adjustments, we’ve been able to get a better categorization of radar tracks now, and that’s why I think you’re seeing these, plus there’s a heightened alert to look for this information.”

Members of Congress want answers. The most vocal leader is Senator Marco Rubio. He’s been calling for Congress to take the situation more seriously.

The military is working on capturing the shot-down “objects.” There are many questions to be answered, but Pentagon officials don’t see this as a military threat but more of a safety flight hazard. 8
