Fans are cheering on country music star, Chris Stapleton after performing what was said to be one of the most refreshing renditions of the National Anthem at a Super Bowl in a long time. Conversations of Rihanna performing in the halftime show were buzzing since it had been seven years since the Barbados-born pop star took the stage.

However, fans were tremendously impressed with Chris Stapleton initially taking to the field and opening the night with nothing but his electric guitar and rustic yet buttery, sultry voice.

Stapleton left the State Farm Stadium in tears as Eagles coach, Nick Sirianni was spotted crying during his performance, along with multiple players.

Not only was his performance one for the books, but history was also made as Stapleton played his final notes and the first-ever all-female flyover passed over the stadium.

Oscar winner and CODA star, Troy Kotsur signed the national anthem in ASL, providing yet another passionate element to the performance.

Country stars, friends and fans took to social media to congratulate the country music star – some saying he was the best, if not second-best rendition of the National Anthem they had ever heard, (second to Whitney Houston’s historic performance back in 1991).

Stapleton’s rendition undoubtedly brought a glimmer of hope back to the American people. After the last few years of over-stimulated emotional turmoil, lies from Big Pharma and crooked politics, citizens were able to feel a sense of comradery again. The nation was reminded that although there is always room for improvement, it is a blessing and privilege live in the land of opportunity – of freedom. And for that, Chris Stapleton is the REAL MVP of Super Bowl LVII, right next to Patrick Mahomes.
