Say this about Martha Stewart — she is the undisputed OG of re-inventing herself and seems like one heck of a cool lady.

For decades she was most known for being a moderately stiff master of gracious living. She was a tycoon and media mogul, but to be honest, she didn’t seem like that much fun.  But then, the past 20 years happened.

Ever since she exited prison after serving time for conspiracy, she’s decided to break the mold of how she was perceived. Since then, she’s befriended Snoop Dogg, morphed into one of the nastiest and most entertaining Comedy Central roasters, and now, she’s added something new to her bio that is certain to shock people; Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition cover model.

Yeah, you read that right; Martha Stewart is on the cover of SI, rocking a bathing suit and looking good. The 81-year-old said she was approached by SI back in November, and the photos were taken in January. She appeared on the Today Show to talk about it.

“To be on the cover at my age was a challenge. And I think I met the challenge.”  Hard to argue that fact. She looked like she owned it during the cover shoot and seemed perfectly comfortable doing it. But seriously, what exactly did she do to get ready?

“I didn’t starve myself, but I didn’t eat any bread or pasta for a couple of months. I went to Pilates every other day, and that was great; I’m still going to Pilates every other day ’cause it’s so great. And I just, I live a clean life anyway — good diet and good exercise and healthy skin care and all of that stuff.”

The days of Sports Illustrated showcasing real models in their Swimsuit Edition are long gone. It is all about inclusion now, and Martha leaves little to the imagination with her photos in this special edition.

Now, we wait and see what Snoop says about the whole thing because it’s sure to be entertaining.
