The Democrats may not back Biden for re-election in 2024.
It seems that there is growing discomfort with President Biden, even from the left.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) admitted this weekend that Democrats are not eager to support President Biden running for a second term.
“We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. If the president has a vision and that’s something we’re all willing to entertain and examine when the time comes … we should endorse when we get to it. We’ll take a look at it. Right now we need to focus on winning a majority instead of a federal presidential election,” Ocasio-Cortez said when asked if she would support Biden. AOC, who backed Bernie Sanders over Joe Biden in the last presidential election, said she believes the president has been doing “a very good job so far.” Yet, she refused to give a definitive answer.
The New York Times reported on Saturday that “dozens of frustrated Democratic officials, members of Congress and voters” were doubtful Biden possessed the ability to turn around the party’s fortunes.
New York magazine’s Intelligencer explored the issue of Biden’s longevity last month, noting that: “Many of the Democratic Party’s biggest donors – even as they pledged to back Biden’s re-election in earnest – have quietly started to poke around for alternatives in 2024.”
President Biden has the lowest approval ratings of his presidency and seems to be unable to solve problems facing the country from inflation to abortion rights and gun reform.
This past weekend, President Biden fell off of his bike. This is not the first time we have witnessed the president’s frailness and inadequacy. More than anything, it’s concerning and sad to watch him as his health continues to deteriorate.
His inability to lead the country and perform basic tasks have caused many to push for his resignation.
Further, we are seeing the blatant hypocrisies from the mainstream media and particularly, the left.
Remember when the media claimed that former President Trump was not “mentally fit” to be president? It’s so ridiculous, it almost makes you laugh. Keyword: ALMOST.
Our nation’s record-high inflation and the crippling economy as a result of President Biden’s poor leadership and self-destructive policies is not something to laugh at.
The midterm elections will reveal whether our nation is beginning to lean right and will likely determine the possibility of Democrats endorsing Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
