If our politicians really cared about American lives, they would address the larger issue at hand.

The murder rate increased by nearly 30% in 2020. This was the largest single-year increase on record, according to the FBI.

Major US cities are already on track to surpass their figures from 2021.

Everywhere you turn, homicides are up. In New York, 189 people have been murdered so far. In Chicago, 285 people have been killed this year alone. Houston has exceeded 100 homicides so far.

Every time a shooting happens, our politicians come out of the shadows to pretend as though they care about American lives. The sob stories and pity shows usually last a few days, and then they move on, as they always do. What they fail to recognize, are the disturbing statistics showing a massive increase in violent and aggravated assaults nationwide.

The steep rise in homicides since the pandemic is NOT because of guns.

Lockdowns have driven many to extreme behavior and stress. Economic downfall causes desperate people to do desperate things. Even worse, we have governors like Gavin Newsom who thought it was a good idea to release all sorts of criminals onto our streets to “limit the spread” of coronavirus.

Who comes up with these brilliant ideas?!

Besides the fact that lockdowns were ineffective, borderline unconstitutional, and straight-up tyrannical, the impacts of the lockdowns proved to be much more negative than they were positive.

Johns Hopkins University reported, “Lockdowns in the U.S. and Europe had little or no impact in reducing deaths from COVID-19, according to a new analysis. The lockdowns during the early phase of the pandemic in 2020 reduced COVID-19 mortality by about 0.2%, said a broad review of multiple scientific studies. We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures, and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality,” the researchers wrote.

Lockdowns not only FAILED to work but have caused psychological damage to children, adolescents, and adults nationwide. The mental health crisis in America has only gotten worse since the pandemic and our politicians are doing nothing about it.

Some might even call it, “all talk, no action.”
