Good luck with that.

Bud Light realized they might have jumped the gun with the whole Dylan Mulvaney thing.

They could just straight up admit they were wrong. They could announce they’re severing all future ties with Mulvaney. They could be donating a solid chunk of change to groups trying to ban hormone gender transition funding for kids.

Or they could just come out with a camouflage bottle.

Everyone is happy now, right?

Anheuser Busch is releasing their temporary “Folds of Honor” can. To be fair to the beleaguered beer company, the can promotes the Folds of Honor Program, which provides educational scholarships for kids of fallen or disabled military veterans and first responders.

This came after an all hands on deck meeting with marketing executives where a number of ideas were floated around.

But here’s the interesting part. Ansheuser Busch isn’t directly donating any portion of proceeds to this worthy program. Yes, they are promoting it, in the same vein they promoted Mulvaney in, but you’d think the company would want to put their money where their mouth is.

Bud Light sales have fallen 23.6% percent within the last week. In the three weeks since the controversy started, in addition to the massive 18% fall, each week sees 2% worse sales for the product. So the beer’s decline shows no signs of slowing down.

Will this effort turn things around? Doubtful. Miller Light will drink to that.
