When is it gonna stop? A transgender woman (formerly a man) won the Tour of Gila, one of the most prestigious competitive cycling competitions in the USA. The whole trek is a whopping 65 miles. Austin Killips was ahead of the second place finisher by a very comfortable 89 seconds, proving that man legs can pump faster and stronger.

She won $35,000 for her first place finish. A champion cyclist expressed her concerns saying, “The current UCI rules that allow males to compete in female cycling events are not fair to female athletes. Time for UCI to admit this current rule situation is unsustainable and leaving a black mark on cycling as a fair sport for females.”

This comes after a different type of cycling had a transgender female win, as well as a former man hacking into the swimming sports world, inspiring swimmer Riley Gaines to go on a mission to protect women’s sports.

Interestingly, the two rivals who got silver and bronze have yet to comment. Maybe they just want to avoid the whole cultural headache altogether.

A 35 time winner of the top cyclecross races said she’s retiring after learning of Killips’s victory.

Third of many instances that will slowly see women’s sports unravel.
