Georgia is the center of the universe for the next few days. After that, it will go back to being the state that hosts the Masters, is home to a lot of Fortune 500 corporate offices and produces peaches.

The ultra-important Jan. 5 runoff races featuring four U.S. Senate candidates looking to fill two open spots will determine control of the Senate, and, ultimately, how fast this country veers to the left.

More than 3 million Georgia residents have already cast their votes.

President Donald Trump is expected to return to Georgia to campaign for Republican candidates Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.

Vice President-elect Kamala Harris is in Savannah today and President-elect Joe Biden is traveling to Atlanta on Monday to campaign for Democratic candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.

Both sides have taken in record amounts of campaign funds, and polls show a slight lead for both Democratic candidates on the eve of the election.
