There’s a crisis at the U.S. border with Mexico. While you won’t see that story covered by traditional media outlets that ignore it as aggressively as they ignore the crime epidemic in major cities, residents of some blue states governed by progressive Democratic leaders can get a glimpse of just how bad it is by watching buses being unloaded with migrants who are being transported out of Texas.

It happened in Washington, D.C., and New York City this summer, and now Chicago is getting hundreds of people illegally crossing the border from Mexico redirected to this major metropolis.

The mastermind of this plan is the governor of the state that has been forced to take on this problem, Greg Abbott of Texas. Here’s what he said in a statement regrind the buses he directed to Chicago.

“To continue providing much-needed relief to our small, overrun border towns, Chicago will join fellow sanctuary cities Washington, D.C., and New York City as an additional drop-off location,”

Abbott then took a direct shot at Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, describing how she “loves to tout the responsibility of her city to welcome all regardless of legal status, and I look forward to seeing this responsibility in action as these migrants receive resources from a sanctuary city with the capacity to serve them.”

The city of Chicago is setting up temporary shelters for the migrants pouring into the nation’s third largest city.

Abbot has ordered the transport of more than 8,000 migrants seeking asylum in the past few months in a project Texas is calling “Operation Lone Star.”

Texas has more new destinations in mind but hasn’t said which ones they are.
