There was a time when having a Jack and Coke required a two-step process.  Consumers needed to purchase a bottle of Jack Daniels and a can or bottle of Coca-Cola, but thanks to a new partnership between Coke and Brown-Forman, the process has been cut in half.

There’s a new canned cocktail coming to store shelves in Mexico and then venturing into the United States and throughout the world.

The cans will have a combo of both iconic brand logos on them with labels on the cans to indicate these are for people of legal drinking age only. The alcohol content is going to vary by country, but typically it will be 5%.

Mexico got the nod as the test country because the two drinks are popular there, and there’s a large population of legal-aged drinkers south of the border.

Coca-Cola has been all-in in expanding to alcoholic drink options. Before the Jack and Coke collar, there was Simply Spiked Lemonade and Topo Chico Hard Seltzer as options for something a little stronger than a sugary soda.

The new cocktails in a can have become a big hit with consumers.  That part of the beverage industry grew 53% last year, and it’s expected to spike another 30% in 2022.

Pepsi has seen the added revenue their rival has tacked to their bottom line and is in on the trend, too, with the launch of HARD MTN DEW.
