AI will take 20% of all jobs within five years, according to AI expert Richard DeVere in a recent DailyMail Article.

According to a new BanklessTimes.com report – Artificial intelligence could displace 800 million jobs (30% of the global workforce) by 2030.

Are you at risk?

Here’s a list of the jobs most likely to be replaced according to Business Insider.

  • Transportation
  • Manufacturing
  • software developers
  • web developers
  • computer programmers
  • coders
  • data scientists
  • advertising
  • technical writing
  • journalism
  • paralegals
  • legal assistants
  • Market research analysts
  • Financial analysts
  • personal financial advisors
  • Traders
  • Graphic designers
  • Accountants
  • Customer service agents

Jobs Least likely to be replaced:

  • Lawyers
  • Judges
  • Directors, Managers and CEOs
  • Politicians
  • HR Managers
  • Singers
  • Psychologists and Psychiatrists
  • Priests and other spiritual figures
  • Surgeons
  • Artists and Writers
  • Creative Jobs
  • PR Managers
  • Event Planners
  • Marketing Managers

I’m sure you see the trend here, jobs that consist of dealing with people and entertaining people are least likely to be replaced. Jobs that require little thinking are most at risk.

Who knows how accurate these predictions are, but you need a healthy amount of paranoia in life. Have an honest conversation with yourself and determine if you’re at risk of being replaced by AI.

Regardless, you should constantly develop new skills that are difficult to replicate or automate.

Sincerely,

Brandon

  • It is ironic that paralegals will be replaced by AI while lawyers and judges will stay in demand.

It is because many lawyers and judges started as paralegals during their studies and after graduation.

So where is the opportunity to become a lawyer or judge if the paralegal positions dry.

Then there is the thought that what if AI is used to settle or mediate disputes?

Similarly AI could also be used in medicine in diagnosing and healing patients.

    It is truly exciting.
