People make a lot of bad decisions in Las Vegas, even presidential candidates. While making a campaign appearance there on Friday, former VP and current presidential candidate Joe Biden was asked by a KTNV reporter about his position on packing the Supreme court with extra justices – something that numerous Democrats have supported, especially since President Trump announced his intention to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to the seat left vacant by the recent death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

“This is the number one thing that I’ve been asked about from viewers in the past couple of days,” the reporter started out. “Well you’ve been asked by the viewers who are probably Republicans who don’t want me continuing to talk about what they’re doing to the court right now,” Biden responded.

“Well, sir don’t the voters deserve to know…?” reporter Ross DiMattei pressed.

“No they don’t…. I’m not gonna play his game,” Biden retorted. “He’d love me to talk about, and I’ve already said something on court packing, he’d love that to be the discussion instead of what he’s doing now,” Biden said, obviously referring to Trump.

Perhaps the reason the Biden team works so hard to limit his public appearances and opportunities for off-the-cuff remarks is because he is well known for the trouble he gets himself into when doing so.

During the recent presidential primary race, Biden opposed packing the court. However, on Thursday he refused to address the question and instead responded that “you’ll know my position on court-packing the day after the election.”
