A common theme for rationale, hard-working, common sense people over the past two-plus years is the world has gone mad.

Norms have been upended. It appears even the Miss USA pageant is not safe from some outside influence that has messed with nearly all aspects of society.

R’Bonney Gabriel is the new Miss USA.  She is the first Asian and Filipina America to win the title, and she had the crown placed on her head Monday night.  But as soon as that happened, the you know what hit the fan.

While the credits rolled on the television broadcast of the pageant, instead of cheering on the new Miss USA, the contestants behind her walked off the stage.

Why? Because there is great concern from the non-winners that the contest was fixed.

Here’s what Heather Lee O’Keefe, Miss Montana, said on TikTok.

“Was Miss USA rigged? I don’t know; I’ll let you be the judge of that. Most of the Miss USA contestants feel very strongly that there was favoritism towards Miss Texas USA, and we have the receipts to prove it.”

Jasmine Jones, a former contestant, jumped on her TikTok and fueled the fire the fix was in.

“You can see them exiting the stage before she even turns around—all of them. Not one of them stays on stage to congratulate or run and hug her. In my pageantry opinion, something was off about that. In my ten years as a contestant, I’ve never seen the girls walk off stage and not congratulate the girls that’s won.

Wow. Strong stuff.  Now, about those “receipts.”  Here’s more from Miss Montana.

“Miss Texas/USA was allegedly flown to and from Cancun. Mid-July, via the Miss USA sponsored airline United. She was the only contestant to receive this special kind of treatment and receive a solo trip to Cancun.”

The girls are ticked. O’Keefe blasted the sponsors, judges, and organizers of the event online. Alexandra Lakhman sums up her feelings here.

“I am at a loss of words since it goes to show there were many signs that the winner was already predetermined and myself, amongst all my other sisters, weren’t even given the chance to lose.”

As for the, ahem, “winner.”  What does the so-called “Miss USA” think?

She told E! That the contest was “not rigged. I would never enter any pageant or any competition that I know I would win. I have a lot of integrity.”

Hopefully, she had fun in Cancun!
