It’s been one day since Tom Brady “officially” retired from the NFL. So, now that the realization that it is over has set in, we can start trying to process some of the utterly-astounding facts and figures regarding his 23-year NFL career that will never be matched.

Brady was drafted in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft out of Michigan. He wasn’t happy and carried a chip on his shoulder his entire career that carried him to the Hall of Fame and established him as the bona fide g.o.a.t.

His salary in his first year as a rookie QB with the Patriots was? $288,667.

Here are some more incredible facts from Brady’s career, courtesy of Douglas Clawson of CBS Sports.

Brady never played a snap when his team was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. That means that he took 15,906 snaps from his center, each one holding on to the possibility that going to the Super Bowl that season was possible.

Brady passed for 89,214 yards. That is 50.7 miles.  It is also more than the combined total of Joe Montana and Steve Young (73,675).

Brady won a Super Bowl ring for every quarterback drafted ahead of him in the 2000 draft. There were six QBs deemed better than him by scouts and GMs.  Plus, to prove his point, he won one more for himself.

Brady’s percentage of making it to the Super Bowl  (48%) with his team was better than the three-point shooting percentage of Steph Curry (43%).

Six players who began their careers after Brady are already retired AND in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. (Calvin Johnson, Troy Polamalu, Ed Reed, Steve Hutchinson, LaDainian Tomlinson, Richard Seymour).

Brady’s career earnings in the NFL totaled $333 million. He has already signed a 10-year contract with Fox Sports that will pay him more. ($375 million)

Brady, of course, will go down as the ultimate winner. He has seven Super Bowl titles to back that claim and the fact that no NFL team had a winning record against TB. That is absolutely incredible.

And he, along with Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees, are the only quarterbacks to have defeated all 32 teams.

Imagine what he cold have accomplished if he had fell to the seventh round of the draft!
