Here’s a real question for our readers – with all of the recent events that have occurred involving children – sex trafficking, child mutilation, hyper-sexualization of minors through our education systems – can we agree that there is both an internal and external war going on for our youth?

As if one needs more evidence of this very real situation, the United Nations backed a shocking report issued by international legal experts; a report that shockingly blurs the lines of having sex with minors.

The report, titled “The 8 March Principles for a Human Rights-Based Approach to Criminal Law Proscribing Conduct Associated with Sex, Reproduction, Drug Use, HIV, Homelessness and Poverty,” does not directly criminalize sex between adults and minors.

The group says that the report was “developed over a five-year consultative process, following an initial expert meeting of jurists convened in 2018 by the ICJ — together with the Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) — to discuss the role of jurists in addressing the detrimental human rights impact of certain criminal laws.”

“Sexual conduct involving persons below the domestically prescribed minimum age of consent to sex may be consensual in fact, if not in law,” the Geneva-based International Commission of Jurists wrote in March with an assist from UNAIDS and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Under its “Consensual Sexual Conduct” section, the document further reads, “In this context, the enforcement of criminal law should reflect the rights and capacity of persons under 18 years of age to make decisions about engaging in consensual sexual conduct and their right to be heard in matters concerning them. Pursuant to their evolving capacities and progressive autonomy, persons under 18 years of age should participate in decisions affecting them, with due regard to their age, maturity, and best interests, and with specific attention to non-discrimination guarantees.”

The document also states that “The process of elaboration … included expert jurists, academics, legal practitioners, human rights defenders and various civil society organizations working in diverse legal traditions.”

Regardless of academic achievements or cultural traditions, I ask you again – is there a war going on aiming to decimalize and normalize pedophilia? Eyes open, folks.
