There’s a Twitter feud going on between Senator Ted Cruz and actor Seth Rogen, and the let’s just say, the actor is showing no mercy.
Now, given his job, one would think that the Senator has more pressing things on his plate that trading tweets with a celebrity… yet, here we are.
It all started on Inauguration Day when President Biden signed an executive order recommitting the United States to the Paris Climate Accord. In response, Cruz tweeted that Biden is “more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh.”
That’s’ when the twitter dog pile started, with people pointing out that Parisians didn’t draft the accord, nor are the only ones to benefit from it.
Rogen, was less, shall we say, diplomatic. He dropped an F-U bomb and called the Republican Senator a fascist.
In response, Cruz tweeted:
“Charming, civil, educated response. @Sethrogen. If you’re a rich, angry Hollywood celebrity, today’s Dems are the party for you. If you’re blue collar, if you’re a union member, if you work in energy or manufacturing … not so much.”
Rogen then counter-tweeted:
“If you’re a white supremacist fascist who doesn’t find it offensive when someone calls your wife ugly, Ted Cruz is the exact mother** for you.”
Next, Cruz tweeted about seeing the movie Fantasia as a child. Rogan responded by saying everyone who made that film would hate him. To which the Senator stated that Walt Disney was a Republican. Seth swung back, admitting he had a mild case of Tourette’s Syndrome and takes great pleasure is telling the Senator to go and “F” off.
In what appeared to be an attempt to put an end to this twisted twitter tale, Cruz tweeted:
“All jokes aside, @Sethrogen is a moron.
Seth Rogan’s final tweet on the matter reminded Cruz that he supported the effort to overturn the election.
“Your lies got people killed. You have blood on your hands.”
Seth, go back to your corner and work on being funny and writing your next movie. Ted, you must have something important to do in the Senate. But thanks for the entertainment guys!
