A new Twitter feature is allowing users to view market charts and buy and sell stocks and other assets through a partnership with eToro, a social trading company.

Currently, one can use “cashtags” to see real-time trading date from TradingView on index funds such as S&P 500, as well as shares of companies like Tesla. The app will allow viewing of price information from TradingView, using application programming interface once the user searches for a ticker symbol and inputs a $ in front.

According to an eToro spokesperson, those Twitter cashtags will extend to include more instruments and asset classes with the eToro partnership. Twitter now grants its users to access cryptocurrencies, stocks, and a plethora of other financial assets.

A button that says “view on eToro,” directs the user to eToro’s site, giving access to buy and sell assets on the platform—TradingView is used by eToro as its market data partner. Founded in 2007 in Israel, eToro is a virtual brokerage which enables users to buy and sell stocks, index funds, and cryptocurrencies.

A rare deal for Twitter since Elon Musk acquired the company last year, he has made it a priority for Twitter to pivot to a supposed “super app” that offers financial services in addition to social media. At a conference last month, Musk stated that he wants Twitter to be “the biggest financial institution in the world.”
