Tucker Carlson grilled former Vice President Mike Pence on foreign policy during his interview earlier today at the Family Leadership Summit in Iowa.

Surprisingly, Tucker questioning Pence regarding the events on January 6 wasn’t the most controversial part of the interview.

The pair clashed when the former FOX News host dug into Pence’s views on the war in Ukraine. Pence outlined his position saying, “I believe that it is in the interests of the United States of America to continue to give the Ukrainian military the resources they need to repel the Russian invasion and restore their sovereignty.”

The audience responded with boos prompting Tucker, an open critic of America’s support in the war against Russia, to question the presidential candidate further. Tucker raised a question on many American minds — how is the establishment comfortable with supporting war on foreign soil while our own cities degrade away, leaving citizens to suffer?

“You are stressed that the Ukrainians don’t have enough American tanks,” Tucker exclaimed.

He continued: “Every city in the United States has become much worse over the past three years. Drive around – there’s not one city that’s gotten better in the United States, and it’s visible. Our economy has degraded, the suicide rate has jumped, public filth and disorder and crime have exponentially increased and yet, your concern is that the Ukrainians — a country, most people can’t find on a map, who’ve received tens of billions of U.S. tax dollars — don’t have enough tanks? I think it’s a fair question to ask, where’s the concern for the United States in that?”

Pence replied promptly: “Well, that’s not my concern.

Patrick Bet-David weights in on Tucker Carlson's clash with GOP presidential candidate Mike Pence at the Iowa Summit.

While other GOP presidential candidates like former President Donald J. Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis argue that financial support for Ukrainians is not in America’s best interest, Pence chose to deviate as a strong supporter of the war.

Tucker then abruptly ended the heated interview with Pence, leaving the defeated candidate with a firm handshake and a dismantled presidential campaign.
