Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a stop at the University of Winnipeg, where he took his southern neighbors to task.

One college student asked him a question. “I’m Bianca. I’m a two spirited trans woman that finds it very difficult in Winnipeg to be me. So I’m horrified by what is going on down south, with the erasure of who we are. How is your government going to protect people and our youth watching this all unfold down south, coming after people in the two spirited communities?”

Two spirited?! That’s a new one. In Canada, it’s no longer LGBT. Or LGBTQIA. It’s 2SLGBTQIA+. Trudeau can say that without a hitch, can you?

Trudeau responded saying, “It’s scary. Scary to see what’s happening in the US. But that ideal that everyone was created equal, eventually won through the latter half of the century, starts to turn its back on us. Now its the 2SLGBTQIA+ starting to be attacked. Something’s happening, and Canada is not immune to that. But what’s happening in the US is bleeding into the political discourse in Canada. Whether it’s attacks we see on drag readings and libraries, for example.”

It’s one of the first lobs Trudeau has thrown directly attacking the United States and their citizens viewpoints. He’s implying that they’re simply less advanced than Canadians. Read between the lines here. Trudeau is gearing up for his re-election run in 2025. Think of this as a campaign speech. He has been under for fire depleting the bank accounts of patriotic Canadians supporting the freedom convoy. He wants to distract Canadian voters away from the issues at home. He wants to create an “us vs. them” mentality.

Trudeau implies that his opponent, Pierre Poilievre, is too American. Poilievre voted against a bill that would add transgender identity protection to the Human Rights Act, making them a protected class on par with black Canadians, for example.

Trudeau’s opponent for 2025, Pierre Poilievre

Trudeau goes on to issue a stark warning, aka a campaign pitch.

“Whether its the horrific attacks on LGBT rights. I would love to tell you that no Canadian government would ever let that happen, but I can’t. I can tell you my government will never let it happen. My government will always stand up unequivocally for women’s rights and 2SLGBTQIA+ rights.”

Translation? Poilievre won’t stand up for those rights. Oh, and that trans rights are equivalent to women’s equality. And if you don’t support one, you can’t support the other.

He then goes on to reference a movement in Quebec that successfully banned public workers from wearing hijabs while on the job.

Conservative Quebecers would argue that the hijab stands for the oppression of women. But Trudeau wants to have his cake and eat it too.

“I had really interesting and intense debates. In 2015, debates were had over wearing a hijab, with feminist friends in Quebec who explained to me that the hijab is a symbol of oppression of women and we shouldn’t allow it in our country. And I said,  it’s not for the government to tell women what they can and cannot wear.”

Ah, Justin Trudeau. Canada’s fiercest civil liberties advocate.

“But the principles of standing up for people’s fundamental rights is one that should be non negotiable but is being negotiated once again. The notwithstanding clause allows the provincial government, I’m gonna bring in this law that oppresses categories of people because it’s popular. And the court can’t do a thing about it.”

That’s code word for standing up against provincial rights. Like the US, certain provinces, like states, can make their own rules and policies. Danielle Smith just held Alberta for the Conservatives. Expect Trudeau to use her as a punching bag as she fights against the Prime Minster and his woke policies.

And with this comment, expect more governmental overreach. Trudeau ignored the Canadian Constitution when he shut down funds for the freedom convoy. Perhaps he’ll do the same if more conservative provincial governments choose not to play along with Trudeau’s trans indoctrination.

He continued, “Somehow it’s a threat for our country to recognize diversity, to embrace intersectionality. We cannot take for granted anymore that the arc of the moral universe bends towards justice and the tools out there of anger, envy, toxicity, and fear are very powerful. And what we as Canadians, all of us, have to be thoughtful about, is to recognize it and how we recognize disinformation on the internet. We’re gonna have to be acutely interested and critical of what politicians are trying to sell us, because it’s not that far from what we have here in Canada, to them banning books in the USA.”

Smart bringing the book ban into this. This is code for silencing the social media accounts and postings of those opposed to him politically. Remember when former President Donald Trump got kicked off of Twitter? Expect the same thing to happen to Poilievre across all platforms.

But still, Poilievre will fight on. Trudeau is making this a superiority election. He’ll be campaigning, asking Canadians, how do we remain superior to the Americans? While Poilievre? He’ll be focused on issues actually impacting Canadians. Expanding civil liberties, more pipelines so Canada can become a booming oil producer, preserving the focus on keeping families together. As Canada decides, the world will be watching.

Until then, you can watch Trudeau in his own words, at one hour and 14 minutes:
