During “The Roast of Tom Brady,” which premiered on Netflix Sunday night, Jeff Ross received some pushback from the NFL star after he told a joke about him giving a massage to Robert Kraft.

Don’t say that sh** again,” Brady said into Ross’ ear, which the microphone picked up.

“Tom became a Patriot, moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft’s office and said ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made,’” Ross said. “Would you like a massage?”

Ross blew a kiss at Kraft and said, “I love Robert Kraft.” After Brady chastised at Ross, he said “Ok, ok! He’s having fun!”

Ross, a legend in his own right, was referring to a scandal New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft found himself embroiled in when he was charged with the solicitation of a prostitute in 2019 after visiting the “Orchids of Asia Day Spa” twice for $59 half-hour massages. He was caught on surveillance as a detective reviewed the footage as part of a human trafficking investigation. He allegedly was surprised over the first incident, but was “thrilled” when they invited him back for a second go.

Kraft pleaded not guilty, and a federal judge ruled that the recordings were filmed unlawfully and had to be discarded as evidence. The case was then dismissed in September 2019. In a statement provided in March 2019, Kraft said:

“I am truly sorry,” “I know I have hurt and disappointed my family, my close friends, my co-workers, our fans and many others who rightfully hold me to a higher standard. Throughout my life, I have always tried to do the right thing. The last thing I would ever want to do is disrespect another human being. […]

As I move forward, I hope to continue to use the platform with which I have been blessed to help others and to try to make a difference. I expect to be judged not by my words, but by my actions. And through those actions, I hope to regain your confidence and respect.”
