Netflix and Will Smith have a lot in common. It wasn’t long ago that they were both Hollywood hotshots. Valued high, popular, respected, and admired. Times have changed in a few months, and both are now free-falling cautionary tales; ridiculed, mocked, and even loathed for clearly not being what they tried to project with their phony public image.

They are coming together thanks to David Letterman, and both hope to rehabilitate their tarnished public image from it.  It was announced that the actor/rapper who assaulted Chris Rock at the Oscars would be part of Letterman’s Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction on Netflix.

The new season of the popular series starts May 20 and will feature six episodes, five of them with A-list stars and the other one with Will Smith.

This season’s non-violent celebrities will be Cardi B, Kevin Durant, Billy Eilish, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Ryan Reynolds.

Many questions should be answered from the interview with Smith.

Is he remorseful?  Will he divorce Jada Pinkett Smith?  Does he realize it was weird and inappropriate for him to deliver the speech at the Oscars that he did?  Was he surprised he got a standing ovation?

And the most important question that will be answered when Letterman’s new season kicks off is; did Dave shave that ridiculous shaggy beard he’s been sporting since he retired from his talk show on CBS?
