Tiger Woods has one less thing to worry about; his ex-girlfriend Erica Herman dropped the $30 million lawsuit she slapped on the golf icon and his trust. She had initially accused him of coming up with the master plan of trying to toss her out of his house after they broke up.
Things had not gone well for Herman, and she may have cut bait before this suit cost her some real dough. In May, a judge ordered the case to arbitration, a big win for Tiger. When she filed the lawsuit in March, it seemed like a bit of a long shot, as she alleged Tiger was wrong for evicting her when the love affair ended.
The couple lived together for six years while they were dating, and according to Tiger’s ex, she claimed she performed “valuable services” for Tiger. For that, he allowed her to live rent-free. Herman said in her lawsuit that they had what she called an “oral tendency agreement” that was supposed to last for five years after they broke up in 2022. Here’s the problem; she didn’t have it in writing. Uh oh.
As for the $30 million amount, according to Herman’s logic, that is what she claimed was the “reasonable rental value” of living in Tiger’s mansion for those five years after they broke up. Yeah, his house is enormous, but that could still be a bit uncomfortable.
What probably ticked her off the most is how things ended; according to Herman, she claimed Tiger’s people told her to pack a bag to go on vacation with Tiger, but after getting to the airport, she claimed to be locked out of the house, unable to get back in.
Tiger called her a “jilted ex-girlfriend,” and let’s just say it is now time for everyone involved to move on.
