Was Joe Biden’s “visit’ to the border crisis in southern Texas anything more than a PR stunt?  Was it simply a photo opportunity and a chance to make it seem like the 80-year-old has a firm grip on the disaster? Yeah, probably according to someone who would most certainly know.

His name is Brandon Judd. He is the president of the National Border Patrol Council, which is the union that represents the agents and support staff working so hard for so little recognition.  He blasted Biden for not doing the thing that seemed the most logical; vast the area where the actual crisis was happening.

Judd went off on Biden and his team during a press conference.

“The only people that he met with in the in the Border Patrol were upper-level management. If they don’t tell him what he wants to hear, they’re subject to be moved. He did not meet with any rank-and-file frontline agents.”

Wow. It would be great if this were shocking news, but sadly it’s what most rational, common-sense people assumed would happen. And it’s not good for the morale of the people risking their lives working on the border.

Here’s more from Judd.

“Every single Border Patrol agent that I’ve spoken with is extremely frustrated and upset about what just took place yesterday. They are upset that he was unwilling to see what’s happening. They’re upset that they cleaned everything up. They’re upset that him knowing that he was going to bring the mainstream media with them, that we all of a sudden doubled the number of agents in the field so the mainstream media would say: ‘Hey, there’s nothing going on here, nothing to see.’”

Incredible. Biden didn’t bother to see any chaos on El Paso’s streets. He didn’t try to understand what residents and law enforcement are forced to deal with.  Just a casual stroll to make it look like he is taking this seriously, according to Judd.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott also read Biden the riot act, telling him his impotent response is a joke. “Under your watch, by contrast, America is suffering the worst illegal immigration in the history of our country; your open-border policies have emboldened the cartels, who grow wealthy by trafficking deadly fentanyl and even human beings.”
