While the battle over the legality of votes carries on, let’s look at what Joe Biden would have planned for his first few weeks in the oval office. Day 1 would pretty much just be a laundry list of undoing anything Donald Trump has done.

Biden has expressed his support for rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, rejoining the World Health Organization (WHO), repeal Trump’s travel ban targeting minority Muslim nations, and rejoin the reinstating of the Deferred Action of Childhood Arrivals program, otherwise known as DACA.

Over the course of his presidential campaign, Biden had also vowed to repeal Trump’s tax cuts and repeal the Mexico City Policy, which restricts international funding for organizations that promote abortion. Biden is also expected to reverse any policies which weaken the Affordable Care Act.

On the COVID-19 front, Biden has already taken steps to form a coronavirus advisory board and on Monday, spoke about the virus. “The challenge before us right now is still immense and growing, and so is the need for bold action to fight this pandemic. We are still facing a dark winter,” he remarked.

Rejoining WHO would be one of Biden’s other efforts to work on combating the virus. Trump’s decision to exit the transnational organization upset many Democrats, while Trump defended the move as a way of holding the organization accountable for its mishandling of the pandemic as it spread and its failure to hold China accountable for their role in containing the virus as it first started.
