Music fans made the coolest song feature alongside Lewis Capaldi in his Tuesday night show in Frankfurt, Germany. Fans jumped in to help the Scottish singer-songwriter as he experienced a tic episode resulting from Tourette Syndrome.

During the last song of his biggest hit, “Someone You Loved,” the singer attempted to push through the bridge of his song into the chorus, eventually pausing and stepping back from the microphone to finish his ‘tic.’

In a sweet and genuine moment of support, fans stepped in and sang the chorus for Capaldi as he pulled back. As the crowd sang, Capaldi tossed his extra guitar picks to fans in the audience.

A tweet posted by @PopCrave shared the sweet moment between Capaldi and fans:

After revealing his diagnosis on Instagram Live back in September, Capaldi spoke about his specific shoulder tic and even admitted to initially thinking it was some sort of “degenerative disease.”

“The worst thing about it is when I’m excited, I get it. When I’m stressed, I get it. When I’m happy, I get. It happens all the time,” he said. “Some days it’s more painful than others and some days it’s less painful. It looks a lot worse than it is. Sometimes it’s quite uncomfortable … but it comes and goes.”

Tourette Syndrome is a neurological disorder that can cause uncontrollable motor movements and/or vocal outbursts. The range and type(s) of tics can change over time and vary according to each person. No 1 tic is the same, but those who have been diagnosed with the condition state that they can get caught up in a tic and stay stuck in the episode until they get their tic, “just right.”

The 25-year-old singer is the most recent artist to be vocal about his Tourette Syndrome diagnosis, next to Grammy award-winning artist, Billie Eilish and Instagram influencer, Lele Pons. With Capaldi being the next artist in the spotlight to have the condition, the negative stigma on Tourette Syndrome breaks down, and the awareness continues to grow.
