Have you heard the rumors that Vladimir Putin has cancer? Apparently, they are true. The Russian president is set to undergo cancer surgery according to a video from something called “General SVR,” which is a Telegram channel.

According to a NY Post story, that channel is reportedly run by a former Russian Foreign Intelligence Service lieutenant general with the pseudonym of” Viktor Mikhailovich.”

The video said his doctors had told Putin that he must undergo the surgery.

This operation is expected to incapacitate the Russian President for a short period, but don’t expect that to be good news for Ukraine and the rest of the world.  He is reportedly going to be transferring government control to the head of the Russian federal police Securing Council, a guy by the name of Nikolai Patrushev.  According to the narrator of the video that was released, the bad news about that is that Patrushev is worse than Putin.

Here’s part of what was said in the video by the narrator.

“I will say that this is the worst option. Patrushev is an outright villain. He is no better than Vladimir Putin. Moreover, he is a more cunning, and I would say, more insidious person than Vladimir Putin. If he comes to power, Russians’ problems will only multiply.”

Putin is 70-years old.  Photos have shown him to look pale and sick, and people have pointed out his fidgety behavior in public that raised questions about his health.

Here’s more from the narrator of the video released over the weekend.

“We know that Putin signaled to Patrushev that he considers him to be practically his only trusted ally and friend in the government. Additionally, the president promised that if his health takes a turn for the worse, actual control of the country will temporarily pass into Patrushev’s hands.”
