Notably, former President George W. Bush did not shake hands with Trump, and Karen Pence visibly snubbed the Trumps, reflecting lingering tensions from past political conflicts.
President Biden faced criticism after appearing to fall asleep during the funeral service after observers noted him closing his eyes and resting his head. First Lady Jill Biden was reportedly seen nudging him awake during the service, while former President George W. Bush was noted for checking on him.

Once awoken, Biden delivered a eulogy at the ceremony, emphasizing Carter’s exceptional character, faith, and dedication to serving others.
