Joe Biden is learning a lesson as President that people remember what you say on the campaign trail.

It’s easy to make every convenient promise, patronize crowd after crowd and tell them what they want to hear, but it’s wise to make sure you can actually do what you say.

Back in 2019, as he was running for President, Biden said this on the campaign trail.

“I think we should decriminalize marijuana, period. And I think everyone – anyone who has a record – should be let out of jail, their records expunged, be completely zeroed out.”

Tuesday is April 20, when potheads around the world celebrate their unofficial marijuana holiday.  You know every stoner in prison was pointing to this day, to see if Biden would honor his campaign pledge and turn all of them loose.

Not quite, though the “holiday” will be celebrated in certain parts of the country. In New York and Washington, D.C., activists are planning on handing out celebratory joints to people who receive their COVID vaccination shot.

In a poll recently conducted by Quinnipiac University, 69 percent of the country is in favor of marijuana legalization.  While marijuana possession remains a federal crime, 18 states have made it legal.
