Tens of thousands of Trump supporters took to the streets of Washington D.C. on Saturday for the Million MAGA March. The president even made an appearance in the march, driving his motorcade through the supporters on his way out of town.

President Trump also showed his support through Twitter, captioning a video of the supporters with “Hundreds of thousands of people showing their support in D.C. They will not stand for a Rigged and Corrupt Election!”

Trump supporters could be seen holding signs that read “Stop the Steal” and “Four More Years,” along with thousands of American flags.

Other than a few small altercations between members of Antifa and the Trump supporters during the rally, the event remained peaceful. Following the MAGA March though, as night fell, things took an ugly turn.

Anti-Trump demonstrators turned violent towards anyone associated with showing support for the president. Videos flooded social media showing Black Lives Matter and Antifa members swarming Trump supporters. Videos of Trump supporters being punched and kicked or having items thrown at them filled social media.

President Trump quickly called on DC police to get the situation under control, tweeting, “ANTIFA SCUM ran for the hills today when they tried attacking the people at the Trump Rally, because those people aggressively fought back. Antifa waited until tonight, when 99% were gone, to attack innocent #MAGA People. DC Police, get going—do your job and don’t hold back!!!”

D.C. Police reported more than 20 arrests over the afternoon and evening. One stabbing was also reported, along with two officers being injured.
