Nicki Minaj was arrested in Amsterdam on Saturday on suspicion of attempting to export soft drugs on her flight to England.

In a video she posted on X, she is seen being informed that her luggage was being removed from the plane to be searched by the police.

In another post, she stated that the police found weed, and a member of her security team claimed it was his.

Minaj also suggested that disgruntled former business associates that embezzled money from her were behind the incident.

She was released from custody hours after being detained, but the incident delayed her travel plans. Minaj is currently on her “Prink Friday 2 World Tour” and was scheduled to perform in Manchester at 6:30 p.m. local time. The venue later announced that general admission and premium doors would open at 7 p.m.

Following the slight delay, Live Nation posted a statement revealing that the show would be postponed. They announced that the show would be rescheduled to future time “which will be announced ASAP.”

Nicki isn’t the only rap artist with recent legal issues. On Thursday, Sean Kingston was arrested and a SWAT team raided his house in Florida. The recent incident in The Netherlands comes about a year after a petition circulated among Minaj’s Los Angeles neighbors, citing concerns about her husband, known sex offender Kenneth Petty, residing in the neighborhood.

Whether nefarious actors intended to sabotage her tour or not, the incident did cause her Manchester show to be delayed. She is facing an undisclosed fine for her actions, though it seems police are not pressing for further punishment.
