There’s a new trend in business.  Rock star billionaire CEOs believe they are superheroes.

All the evidence is there. They build rocket companies to fly into space, and for the first time in their lives, they understand what a kettlebell and heavy bag are.

The examples are everywhere; Jeff Bezos, Sir Richard Branson, and now add Mark Zuckerberg to the list. The boss of Meta has been spending a lot of time at the gym doing MMA training, and he’s sharing some of his sessions on Instagram.

A story in The Information quotes Khai Wu, a jiujitsu black belt and professional mixed martial artist who is one of the guys training Zuck. They work out at the Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu Academy in San Jose, California, and Wu says these sessions are not for show.

“He’s never like, ‘Don’t do that; He’s actually asked, ‘Can you give me a little more resistance, a little more force? I want to feel it.’”

Judge for yourself. Zuckerberg has posted a sizzle reel of his workouts on IG.

Other Silicon Valley softies have begun to channel their inner badass. PayPal CEO Dan Shulman reportedly trains in Krav Maga. According to the New York Post, Alex Karp, the CEO of Palantir, mixes it up in jiujitsu and aikido.

Wu claims their training is legit.

“You’d never expect these guys to be able to take you down. Next thing you know, they’re attacking you with these extremely technical moves. You don’t know this nerd is a silent killer.”

Zuckerberg dropped the word about his MMA training to Joe Rogan on his podcast earlier this month.

“After an hour or two of working out or rolling or wrestling with friends or training with different folks, now I’m ready to go solve whatever problem at work for the day.”
