If Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg agreed to have a telephone call, it could be sold as a pay-per-view event, and someone would make millions.

So imagine what could be at stake if the proposed MMA battle between these two tech titans occurred inside one of the 7 Wonders of The World!

This is a story that is unfolding and developing by the hour. TMZ Sports was the first to report that an official from the Italian government had reached out to Zuck about having a UFC fight against Musk — inside Rome’s Colosseum! TMZ is standing by their story, adding that the request from Italy was forwarded to Dana White, and all sides were scheduling a call about this potential epic event next week.

On Thursday night, Musk tweeted a sly message about the Colosseum, making it seem like the wheels were turning and details were getting hashed out.

Friday morning, the Italian Ministry of Culture’s Office went into defense mode, saying in a statement, “There has been no formal contact from the ministry nor any written document, even if the news appears tasty it is unfounded.  If Zuckerberg and Musk wanted to perform in the Colosseum, they would have to make a non-violent challenge.”

TMZ said “cazzate” (BS) about the government backpedaling and is reporting that their sources stand by their story that this fight in the Colosseum is being discussed by the decision-makers.

If this happens, it could be the most-watched sporting event ever, which is no exaggeration.

TMZ said they’ve talked to both Musk and Zack’s camps, and the centibillionaires want this to go down.

The Colosseum is nearing its 2,000th anniversary, and it has been hundreds of years since the venue hosted a large event.  With seating for only a few hundred people in its current layout, it would be fun to see what ticket prices would look like.

TMZ insists that their sources have assured them the odds are in favor of this happening, and negotiations with Dana White are taking place.
