This week some major recalls have been issued for everyday products and even the car you drive. Here’s a list of some urgent recalls you need to be aware of this week.

Right now, Kia is recalling more than 70,000 of its Sorento and Sportage SUV models from 2016 to 2023. Wednesday, NHSTA posted documents outlining evidence engine fires can start while the engines are running or when they’re turned off. Right now, reports show 8 vehicles have caught fire, There has also been 15 cases of melting or damage. Kia is warning people to park outside and away from structures. Official notices will be sent out starting December 22nd. This is the second time the 2008 and 2009 Kia models have been recalled due to fire risks. The company says it’s working to figure out the cause of the fires and a solution.

You may want to toss out your Pine-Sol. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Clorox is recalling 37 million bottles of scented Pine-Sol cleaner produced between January 2021 and September 2022. The cleaning products may contain harmful bacteria including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. When exposed to Pseudomonas aeruginosa, people with weakened immune systems face the risk of serious infection that can cause serious infections. The recall does not include the original pine-scented Pine-Sol. You can contact the company for a refund.

 The FDA is recalling dry shampoo aerosol products made by Unilever. The hair products may include elevated levels of benzene, which can cause cancer. The brands included in this recall are Dove, Nexxus, Suave, TIGI, and Tresemme. When exposed to high-levels, benzene can cause dizziness, vomiting, and unconsciousness. Unilever says it has not received any reports of any problems, but they are recalling the products out of caution. Unilever is asking that you immediately stop using the product and contact the company for reimbursement.
