Here’s a first. A liberal publicly lambasted Hunter Biden’s “career” and called his actions out for being what people with a shred of common sense have suspected for years.
The former host of “The Daily Show,” who now has a program on Apple that nobody watches, used his podcast forum to say that Biden’s time on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma is flat-out “corruption.”
Yeah, that’s what people have been saying since Hunter joined the company’s board in 2014. He made about a million dollars a year for his proximity to his father, I mean his talents as an energy company board member.
Stewart’s podcast is called “the Problem with Jon Stewart,” and as he was discussing Biden’s laptop computer with his guest, Gabriel Gatehouse, who made the point that most of the mainstream media ignored the story.
“Turned out that not only was it real, but the FBI had the bloody laptop all this time. Hadn’t really looked on it. Hadn’t figured out …And then it took the establishment media in the US the New York Times and the Washington Post, let’s say the kind of, you know, the big boys… It took them nearly two years to go through the laptop as you expect they would do.”
The two bantered about that for a second, and then the subject was whether the younger Biden was making deals that benefited his father, also known as “The Big Guy,” and the optics of that.
’To me, that’s corruption – straight up off the bat,” Stewart said.
Hunter Biden has escaped the long arm of the law for a long time, but the multi-year probe into his actions is winding down, and the Washington Post reported that an unnamed federal official said there’s enough evidence for Hunter to face tax charges. He could be in trouble for lying while obtaining a gun four years ago.
The Big Guy told CNN earlier this month that his son is hardly the crack-smoking loose cannon he’s being portrayed as.
“This is a kid who got, not a kid – he’s a grown man. He got hooked on – like many families have had happen, hooked on drugs. He’s overcome that. He’s established a new life.”
