Former election security chief Chris Krebs is continuing to insist that the 2020 election was the most secure ever and his interview on “60-Minutes” on Sunday night definitely caught the attention of President Trump and his campaign lawyer who said Krebs should be “taken out at dawn and shot.”

In his “60-Minutes” interview, Krebs said, “I think that we should be celebrating the successes of making the 2020 election the most secure election in modern history.” Krebs went on to say that Trump’s allegations of mass voter fraud were “farcical,” adding “We can go on and on with all the farcical claims alleging interference in the 2020 election, but the proof is in the ballots.”

The comments prompted Trump’s campaign lawyer, Joe diGenova, who said, “Anybody who thinks that this election went well, like that idiot Krebs who used to be the head of cybersecurity. That guy is a class A moron. He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot.” The comments were made when diGenova appeared on the “Howie Carr Show,” which simulcasts on Newsmax.

Krebs was fired by Trump through a tweet on Nov. 17 when Krebs declared the election secure and was involved with a website created by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency dubbed “Rumor Control,” which debunked misinformation about the election.

Trump weighed in on the “60-Minutes” interview as well as tweeting, “.@60Minutes never asked us for a comment about their ridiculous, one sided story on election security, which is an international joke, our 2020 Election, from poorly rated Dominion to a Country FLOODED with unaccounted for Mail-In ballots, was probably our least secure EVER!’
