Mark Epstein, brother of deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, claimed on Wednesday that his late sibling once bragged about having enough blackmail material on Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton to completely derail the 2016 presidential election.

“Here’s a direct quote: ‘If I said what I know about both candidates, they’d have to cancel the election.’ That’s what Jeffrey told me in 2016,” the 69-year-old developer told the New York Post, recalling a conversation with his brother just before the infamous Trump-Clinton faceoff that year.

However, Mark did not offer further details about what this damning information might have been, saying that Jeffrey never revealed exactly what he knew.

As the Post points out, it is already well known that both Trump and Clinton operated in Jeffery Epstein’s orbit at various times, as did many other high-profile celebrities and politicians.

Flight logs from one of Epstein’s many private jets show at least seven flights between New York and Palm Beach with Trump in the 1990s. In the years since the convicted pedophile’s alleged suicide in 2019, Trump has denied any knowledge of his criminal activities, pointing out that he had banned Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago estate over alleged incidents with female guests and employees.

Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, is not known to have associated with Epstein directly—but former President Bill Clinton spent considerable time with him. Epstein made 17 visits to the White House during Clinton’s presidency, and President Clinton flew on Epstein’s infamous “Lolita Express” private jet more than two dozen times in the 1990s and 2000s.

According to Mark Epstein, one such flight was what initially put his brother on authorities’ radar.

“When Jeff first took Clinton, and I think it was Chris Tucker and some other people, to Africa — which was a mistake my brother made by doing that, because prior to that he was under the radar; nobody was looking at him,” Epstein told the Post. “But when he flew Clinton there, it was like, ‘Who’s this guy flying Clinton?’”

Both Donald Trump and Bill Clinton were named in a recent batch of court documents listing 170 people connected to Epstein that were unsealed on Wednesday evening. These documents include the names of associates, eyewitnesses, and even potential victims, meaning that inclusion on the list does not prove or imply criminal activity.

Donald Trump’s name appeared in the documents a total of four times, but primarily in the context of Epstein discussing plans to stop at his New York casino. Other mentions of the former president include alleged victim Johanna Sjoberg denying ever being told to give him a massage or seeing him at the trafficker’s private island.

Court documents suggest that Donald Trump did not engage in any of Epstein’s criminal activities.

References to Bill Clinton, 50 in total, were more concerning in nature, with Sjoberg claiming that the former president “likes them young, referring to girls.” However, as with Trump, she denies ever seeing Clinton at Epstein’s island residence.
